Over a century of cinema has blessed us with some truly unforgettable movie moments. Guys have "Say hello to my little friend!" That magical moment in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" where Holly Golightly, perched perfectly on her moonlit fire escape, wistfully croons, "Oh dream maker, you heart breaker, wherever you're going, I'm going your way...." The scene then cuts to reveal her handsome neighbor, Paul Varjack, watching her from his window. The two lock eyes and the rest is cinematic history, never to be replicated again. Or can it be?Right in time for the film's 50th anniversary, the landmark "Breakfast at Tiffany's" townhouse has just been announced for sale. Yes, that's right, the charming Upper East Side home where Holly Golightly serenaded the moon and threw lavish cocktail parties can be yours -- for $5.85 million.
And worth every penny, we think.
Apart from being the iconic "Breakfast at Tiffany's" house, the stunning, 3,200-square-foot brownstone boasts a sweeping staircase, four bedrooms with en-suite baths, five fireplaces, a library, a renovated kitchen with laundry, a glass-enclosed solarium and a spacious backyard. Though it is currently divided into two duplex apartments, listing agent Robert Browne of the Corcoran Group says that the property can "easily" be converted into a single-family home.

Die-hard fans, if you're concerned about rumors that allege that the scenes shot within the house were actually shot on a studio set in Hollywood, you should know that the house's owner, Peter E. Bacanovic, confirms that this house had indeed been used for the movie's interior scenes, with movie cameras perched outside to enable the filming of scenes within its rooms. In fact, Bacanovic is convinced that the famous Golightly party scene was actually held in his living room. (He "recognizes the original window shutters"). You be the judge.
