For a while, Bruce Willis was tripling down on homes in New York. He bought two properties in Westchester County this year after spending $8.85 million in early 2013 for a Central Park pad that belonged to U2 bassist Adam Clayton.

Now the "Die Hard" actor and his wife, Emma Heming, want to unload the renovated Manhattan apartment for nearly $13 million.

Located in the Emery Roth-designed Eldorado building -- whose celebrity residents have included Alec Baldwin, Faye Dunaway, the musician Moby and Garrison Keillor -- the home has views of Central Park from its living and dining rooms and from the master suite.

The three-bedroom, 3.5-bath home includes a steam shower and a large kitchen made from two former housekeepers' rooms.

"They just spent two years renovating it; they took it back to the studs," said Ann Cutbill Lenane, the Douglas Elliman broker who has the listing.

Willis and Heming wanted a bigger space after having their second child this year, the broker said.

Lest it seem the couple has a sixth sense for real estate, they recently slashed prices on two other homes: A sprawling Beverly Hills mansion that was initially listed for $22 million finally sold for $16.5 million, and an Idaho home first listed at $15 million in 2011 is now on the market for $7.05 million.
